Bloody Barneys

BARNEY'S New York window displays have been causing outrage amongst shoppers. The concept was 'Dress To Kill' but some thought the displays went a little too far. The mannequins posed as if they were fending off attackers. I love the whole thing myself. I think fashion should always be original and edgy but i can understand it would creep little children out! Still even through the red splattered windows we can still appreciate the stunning dresses from Helmut Lang and A.L.C.

Green Gaga

Now I always love Lady Gaga and her ability to pull off any outfit but i feel this time she may have gone slightly too far. An entire jacket made of Kermit the frogs!!!! who even thinks up this stuff??!!!!!

Pattern Panic!

From tie dye to zig-zag, floral print and union jack it is all about prints this season. Even though in the fashion world summer is coming quickly to an end pattern is not! The 80's influence on fashion has been a long time revival and it is now in full swing. This might be the only chance for a while to be able to relive the 80's and actually get away with teaming so many crazy pattern together, so do it, go wild!

Stone the crows...a size 8?

LARA STONE is the headline for all fashion broadsheets and blogs at the moment. Not only is she a focus because she opened for JEAN-PAUL GAULTIER and closed for CHANEL at the Paris couture shows, but she is a SIZE 8!!! I am so happy about this, of course many of you are thinking size 8 is not big at all, but it has to show us that the fashion world is moving  further away from skinny and finding realistic women! Lets  just hope it continues!

A Scarlet Mango

I have never been the biggest fan of SCARLET JOHANSSON but her latest fashion spread for MANGO might just have changed my mind. She is the perfect balance of urban, independent and cosmopolitan, exactly right for MANGO.

Dior does it again

PARIS COUTURE! I get so excited about couture fashion week in Paris. There is something about seeing the extravagant gowns that i could never afford cascading down the runway. The intricate detailing and the delicate fabrics just reminds me about the magic of fashion. It really proves that dress making and designing is an art form. The master of all in my opinion has to be DIOR, never once failed to give a good show. I often think it a shame we dont see more couture, over the years fashion has become all about ready-to-wear. Oh well, one day i will make a couture revival and we will all be donning a ball gown to nip to the shops!

Angelina for Armani

If anyone living in London has missed the latest ARMANI ad campaign where have you been? The steamy pics of the BECKHAMs have been plastered over every bus and every magazine! I must say they both look pretty amazing.... However the rumour is that ANGELINA JOLIE has just signed up to also be a face of ARMANI, can you imagine the steam if they all collaborate? I cant wait!

Glam in Glasto

I recently had my first experience at GLASTONBURY festival. I had all these ideas of cute festival outfits that i would take and no matter what the weather was doing i would look the part. Unfortunately this was not the case! In a boiling tent with no showers for five days it was hard to keep the glamorous image alive. Still once into the mood of the festival with bands playing at all hours and everything covered in mud you start to realise that nobody seems to care about what you are wearing only that you have enough energy to run to the next stage to see another band. So i thought i would give just a few basic items or guidelines for those lucky enough to be headed for a festival. Wellies are a must! English weather is so temperamental there will be rain and therefore mud! A straw hat! My hat was a god send covers up the hair, and with no decent showers it was needed. I got a great stripe cardigan from Topshop, it keeps with the nautical theme and covers up. Even though it is a festival dont forget to accessories, it gives extra glam to any outfit!

No end to Nautical

With the festival and summer season in full swing there is nothing we would rather wear than a straw hat and a stripe dress. This look re-appears with every ray of sun but this year nautical has come at the fashion world with a vengeance with every retailer cashing in on the style. From straw sandals to stripe umbrellas i do not see this trend vanishing too soon so feel free to splurge on nautical, it will be well worth it!

Sienna for Hugo Boss

SIENNA MILLER has become a new face for BOSS ORANGE the most recent scent from HUGO BOSS. I caught the new advert a couple of days ago and absolutely adored it. I have always been a Sienna fan and watching this reminded me why, it is a real 'feel good' ad. For those who have missed it here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9L_qgNO-LY

Winona comes back with ELLE UK

WINONA RYDER is the latest of the come back queens and has managed to grace the covers of Julys ELLE UK. Even wearing the most simple of outfits, a nude DOLCE & GABBANA corset or an AMERICAN APPAREL top she just exudes natural beauty. Is it me or does she look very AUDREY HEPBURN? I love it!

Anna Sui goes 'Gossip Girl'

Fashion designer ANNA SUI has designed a range of clothes inspired by the characters from 'Gossip Girl'. The collection is based on the four main females Blair, Serena, Jenny and Vanessa...no guys collection just yet i am afraid! Some pieces I am sure will sell out instantly but as a whole look i still need to be convinced. Are we now set to become a world of 'Gossip Girl' clones?!?!?!

Gratuitous but gorgeous

I just thought CAMERON DIAZ looked stunning in this shoot for V, I hardly even recognised her. Strapping on a fierce pair of PRADA boots and a top made completely of gaffa tape, she was photographed Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London. She certainly bought an edge to the July beauty issue!

The Bold and the Beautiful

Trust MARC JACOBS to bring light and life to fashion in these bleak days of the recession. His handbag collection for winter 2009 is in my opinion his best yet. The dynamic prints and the bold color choices ensure he is continuing the trend for statement accessories. These gorgeous pieces are already out and donning the hand of all the a-listers. However they do come with a standard Marc Jacobs price tag! Still they are beautiful to look at!
